Home Care Defined:
Home health care is a service which provides a wide variety of part-time or intermittent skilled nursing care, and other skilled care services that can be provided in your home. These services may also include medical social services or assistance from a home health aide. Home health care is usually less expensive, more convenient, and effective. A home health care agency will usually coordinate the services in which your doctor orders for you. The goal of home health care is to help you obtain a faster recovery, regain your independence, and become as self-sufficient as possible to help prevent rehospitalizations.
