Private Duty Services
Home Health Care of Middle Tennessee offers private duty nursing services for acutely or chronically ill patients. Our specially trained private duty practitioners provide direct, comprehensive care in the home, up to 24 hours per day, 7 days per week, under the orders of a physician.
Our skilled RNs and LPNs work one on one with patients to ensure the ultimate in personalized care. This results in decreased hospitalizations, and patients who would otherwise have to be placed in a skilled facility can be maintained at home with the support of the family and private duty nursing.
Home Health Aides are certified nursing assistants and are specially trained to assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and small meal preparation. All of our aides have training in emergency response, patient safety techniques, and rehabilitation follow up so they can monitor the patient’s physical status and report and changes to the RN.
Private Duty Nursing services may be covered by a long-term insurance plan, Tenncare Select, private insurance, Americhoice, Amerigroup, or Worker’s Compensation. Our specialists work closely with patients to ensure proper reimbursement, minimizing financial concerns for patient and family.
Home Health Care of Middle Tennessee is a provider of the CHOICES Program, offering Personal Support Services, Homemaker Services, and Respite Services to individuals who are covered as recipients under the CHOICES program through Amerigroup or Americhoice. This is a state-funded program for the aged and disabled, designed to provide personal support in the patient’s home up to 35 hours a week.
